We use Webex Events for all of our hybrid and in person events. It provides an app, platform for livestreaming, networking opportunities, widgets for adding scheduling and agendas to webpages, ticketing and even an email platform functionality. It has really enabled us to host events on a larger scale and with a more professional touch.

It is extremely well-suited for hybrid events. The fact that we can put on an event for both in-person and virtual attendees and both can connect, view the schedule, and network in different ways is extremely useful. They also have a great ticketing platform, tons of great promo widgets, reporting and more.

It would be very helpful if they could offer more customization in the interface - ability to change parts of the ticketing page (not as friendly for international events), etc. Also the pricing isn't amazing but especially for using things like badge printing (which is an integrated part of the platform). The fact that I have to work with various outside vendors depending on the event location is very frustrating and expensive.

Webex Events has been a valuable tool for the non-profit organization I work for. This program has elevated our company-wide training conferences, with over 3,000 attendees having access to our company app displaying all the resources they need to be prepared and set up for success. The platform allows for easy communication to all attendees through the app and making the event navigation easy. In the past, it was a challenge to share resources with attendees, but Webex Events is a solution to this, as we can now have resources conveniently available on the app.

This was our first in-person conference since the pandemic and we wanted to provide a great experience for attendees. In the past, we relied on paper agendas and posters to help navigate folks to sessions. However, this resulted in multiple-page documents that took forever to create and then could not be edited once the schedule was finalized, not to mention the hours spent formatting, printing, hauling, and sorting. Therefore, we wanted to provide our attendees with an app to hold all of their conference information. Webex Events was a game changer because no conference goes as planned - speakers cancel, sessions get rescheduled, and rooms are switched. This was hassle free because we could update in real-time in the app and push notifications to our users.

I would not host a multiple-day, in-person conference without the support of an app like Webex Events. They also strategically set up meetings with you in the run-up to the conference to ensure you are on schedule. The team supporting you is wonderful and does a great job of building your confidence in using the product.

Our Main Event each year is a convention. Usually, it is in person with about 4000 people. For two years during the heith of COVID we went virtual and I don't know if it would have been as successful as it was without Webex Events (Socio).

It has continued to evolve over the past few years and now we use the platform for registration and having a now hybrid event with both in-person and virtual content. This year, we will be integrating the in-person registration capabilities and using the web plugins in place of our legacy WordPress pages for the agenda and speaker information.

One of the best things about the system is that they continue to evolved and make changes routed in needs of the customer. This year we are excited that much of the speaker and sponsor management will be able to happen directly in the app by the speakers and sponsors themselves, freeing up moe time for our very small staff.
  • Customer service and attention are the best that I have seen. We have use 4-5 different event app systems over the past decade and no one came close to socio in terms of both meeting our needs and responding to questions and issues. (addendum - while I am always worried when a smaller company gets bought by a bigger one - in the few years since Webex took it over, there has been no drop in customer service.)
  • The product itself is flexible but fairly easy to use. We have a fairly complex event (120+ sessions over three days with hundreds of speakers) and not only did it handle it - but it looked good.
  • Socio continually adds improvements to the product that really do make it better. They provide ample information on how to use each new feature as well.
  • Many of the changes to the product I know came from direct requests made by our organization.
  • For an organization like out with so many sessions, speakers, and sponsors, but only a few staff members, it would be nice if there was a level of access to the back end content that we could give to the speakers and sponsors for example so they could upload their own information or make needed changes. (ADDENDUM - They have addressed this situation and we are excited to try out the new capabilities this year)
  • Within the Virtual Studio - currently there is not an easy way for presenters to interact with chat or to handle Q&A.
(Updated review 3/24) There are always plusses and minuses to various platforms and nothing is ever going to be a perfect fit for everyone, but Socio (now Webex Events) has continued to provide topnotch customer service and made improvements that have been, for us, valuable additions.

There are still a few items on my wish list but it remains one of the best solutions we use at our org and everyone whom we have recommended it has had a good experience. When I first wrote this review I gave it a 9 out of 10, but since it has only gotten better since then and continues to improve, I had to up my rating to a 10 and will continue to recommend it strongly to anyone looking for an event app solution.

I use Webex Events for attending our customers' events and to attend online events for my sales development. I use it to network with other potential customers. I often keep in contact with people I contact during any event.

  • It has many benefits like landing page creation and email marketing feature to target desired audience.
  • Tracking of real time tracking of sales and revenue.
  • It should automatically show the events on the home screen which can be relevant to me. It will make me more engaged with the app.
I think best is that companies can send marketing emails to their target audience. I also love the feature - Shake to connect. It's simple and effective to connect within few seconds with someone. I also love the live audience poll. It works so smoothly.

We primarily use Webex Events to set up both in-person and virtual conference events. With the help of Webex events, we are easily able to engage the end user. The live display option on the Webex Events platform is also very useful as it helps us display session information, activities, and also sponsor images. Additionally, the Webex team is also very knowledgeable and supportive. They were able to work with us smoothly and were able to connect us with the right vendors to buy printers and other badge-related items. With the help of Webex Events, we have tremendously increased our value-based selling.
  • The lead retrieval option is very well thought out
  • Creating and tracking sessions is very much straightforward
  • Creating attendee groups is very simple
  • The in-app attendee engagement options like Q&A sessions, live polls, etc. are very good
  • Last minute attendee addition could be made more simple
  • Inclusion of knowledge base documents could be much more helpful
  • The virtual exhibition portion is little bit complex and can be made a lot simpler
Webex Events is very helpful for organizations like ours to constantly engage the end users. With the help of Webex Events, we can also create Onsite Badges and create onsite checkins which enables us to create a better brand experience. Also, Webex Events is very well suited for Hybrid events, which is the norm these days. I would definitely say Webex Events is best suited for organizing and hosting a professional event. The customer support offered by Webex Events is also very good. There is no automated bot that is present and there is always a human at the other end.

We use WebEx Events for our National Conference that we host every 18 months. WebEx Events is our onsite app that participants use to see the schedule, hotel map, and connect with other attendees. We also frequently use the polling feature in our general sessions. It is also the tool that we use to store all documentation and resources for the conference so that attendees have ease of access both before and after the event.
  • WebEx Events is a very good experience for the user. It is intuitive and we rarely get onsite questions from attendees about where to find something in the app.
  • WebEx Events is also easy to use on the administrative side. Data loading has always been straightforward and seamless.
  • Networking is very important at our events, our attendees use WebEx Events as a tool to save contacts of those they meet and may want to follow-up with at a later date.
  • We have not yet been able to use the WebEx Events registration tool because our attendees sign up for breakout sessions prior to our event. We would like to see this capability added to the registration so that we would not have to import attendees from another system.
  • Sometimes it takes me a few tries to find the features I want to edit on the administrative side, there could be some improvements to navigation on the back-end.
WebEx Events is a great tool for hosting both an event website and an onsite event app. If you are looking to integrate an on onsite and online event, they have this capability, as well. The staff is always very helpful and I am able to get answers to my questions in a timely manner.

Webex Events was a perfect platform to host our client's annual meeting during the first year of the pandemic. It allowed the worldwide team to meet virtually as well as increase the attendee count above who was normally included in the in-person event. Since then we have shifted to virtual because the platform is so flexible and easy to use.

We needed a platform that would allow us to replace paper programs at our convention as well as give us the ability to communicate with them and, at the same time, give the attendees the best user experience possible.
We did our first convention in person with Webex Events (Socio), and it was great. The following year, 2020, we had to quickly make decisions about how to make our convention happen virtually. Webex Events (Socio) made that happen without missing a beat. We were able to host our convention for 1,000+ attendees virtually, all run on the Webex Events (Socio) app. In 2022 when the convention was moved to hybrid, Webex Events (Socio) already had a way for us to do that. The fact that they are able to read the "Meeting" climate and keep up with it is amazing. It really has given us the flexibility to make our convention be anything that we need it to be.

This tool is great for any meeting type. It really does lend itself to be customized for any type of meeting. We have used it for multiple tracks so folks can filter our tracks. We have also used it to host a virtual exhibit hall with video rooms to connect exhibitors to attendees face-to-face.
I really don't see a scenario where this could not be used.

We use Webex Events for any large scale video conferencing events and training sessions. It allows up to 10000 people to join the event and participate in polls, Q and A's, and other functions, all within an easy-to-use interface. Organizing these events is also fairly easy and allows a comprehensive suite of options and customizations.

We used it in our hybrid event to be able to present the students musical performances to parents from all over Quebec who could not travel to see them on stage. Also, we used it to send information to all the music directors instead of sending a ton of emails with all the information.

We use Webex Events for our annual user conference. We have used the app at live events, as well as managed virtual conferences completely through Webex. The ability to have a registration, the event app and website, session streaming, networking, etc. all in one place is extremely valuable to us.
  • Their customer support is fantastic. I can always get a quick answer through their chat function, and everyone I have spoken to has been great.
  • The attendee-facing event app and website are really easy to use. Our team has to do very little troubleshooting with customers.
  • The streaming function with Restream is fantastic. We can set up professional-looking sessions with banners, videos, music, title slides, etc. without hiring a third party to manage because they made it so easy.
  • I wish session recordings was managed differently. You should be able to have a list of all the sessions and be able to download recordings from one place.
  • It would be nice to be able to customize the look of the desktop event site more.
Webex Events is a fantastic tool that any size company can take advantage of. It is easy enough to use that a small team can manage an event, but robust enough for larger events and teams who want to take advantage of more features. You can host a highly produced general session with multiple presenters, slides, and video transitions, and small, intimate breakout discussions all in the same app.

We utilized it in February 2021 as we pivoted from doing regional in-person conferences to one national virtual conference. We used it as an event platform for that conference and utilized its features to try and replicate most of the aspects of our in-person conference experience. Going into our next conference cycle we utilized it to create the mobile apps for our in-person conferences as well as continue to use it as the platform for a virtual events.
  • It has quite a few optional and customizable features that can be utilized.
  • It's easy to integrate your existing tools like Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo, and streaming services.
  • It's flexible in the way that you upload content in that you can enter things one at a time on the website, or use a spreadsheet to upload a larger amount of content.
  • There are some features we did not want to use that we were not able to remove from taking space on the front page of the user apps.
  • During our first time using the platform there were some issues on their back end with the number of users we had joining our event. They owned the problem and we were compensated. Their back end has greatly improved since then and we used them the following year with no issues.
  • When using the most restrictive setting for user access, we did have some users have difficulty logging in. This was mostly user error, but there were some cases where it did not seem to be.
It's a great platform for a virtual event as well as an easy way to create a phone app for an in-person or hybrid event. It's especially good if your event is not simply open to the public and you want to restrict access to the content to those who have paid/registered etc.

Webex Events has been incredibly impactful for our internal company-wide events. The best part, in my opinion, was the easy accessibility for all attendees of all event information while on-site during our event. Webex Events also elevated our attendee experience for our event including the registration process, communications during and before the event, as well as engagement during the event through the gamification and social wall options. We also utilized the live streaming functionality for our virtual attendees, as we had a hybrid event.
  • Their app is really well done and easy to navigate by users during the event.
  • Their agenda tie-in with maps is a great feature. Really makes it easy for attendees to find where they're going during events.
  • I really like how easy it is to schedule communications to go out before and during events.
  • I would like to see an improvement in the live streaming capabilities within Webex Events. It would be great if there was a more intuitive integration with Zoom, including a more simplified setup process, as well as integrating the live chat between the 2 platforms.
  • For the gamification, it would be great if the games could be scheduled to open at certain times.
I implemented Webex Events to be used for internal hybrid company-wide events, and it fit our needs really well.

We have used Socio for in-person conferences via mobile phone app to manage the flow of our events, share files, and network. Recently we've used the virtual conference options as well and found them to be exceptionally easy to use. Our conferences can have up to 200 people from across the world use it with little guidance.

If you can't commit your entire work day to getting to terms with an event platform then this is where you need to go. In some cases my team receives technical restrictions from other areas of the business that need to be accommodated and the support staff at Socio is quick to find ways to make it happen.

Most recently we used this at our National Sales Conference in an effort to eliminate paper materials and boost engagement across the attendees. we had ~500 attendees on the platform and it paid for itself throughout our 3 day event.

The Socio platform worked wonderfully for our internal events. It was a great place for everyone to get acquainted and hyped up before the conference, a great place for everyone to stay informed while at the conference, as well as the ideal place to send out survey and post-conference information.

We had the need to move an in-person conference to a virtual conference. Socio allowed us to do the conference as well as create networking and a community for it. We also were able to sell event sponsorships and highlight those partners.

We've always been an in-person event. And in the last two years, we have had to pivot to virtual. Socio helped us do that. Socio is being used across the whole organization as an alternative to live events. We use this product as a bonus to the attendees until we can meet again in real life. And when we do, Socio will be used as the conference mobile app. It can even help to produce a hybrid event. Details change up to the end when producing an event. So being able to make changes on demand and alert the attendees via push notifications addresses those challenges.

If you have to produce a virtual event for the first time. This platform will be a great choice. With seamless tech, and support, Socio makes it easy to transition to virtual. Also for hybrid events and in-person events, the mobile app and all the ways attendees and sponsors are able to interact is excellent!

Socio may not be appropriate if the producers are not technically savvy and are not willing to learn. In that case, hire someone who can help.

Socio allowed us to host our first hybrid event for our Annual Retailers Conference. We were able to implement a virtual option as well as a mobile app for our in-person attendees. It was a game-changer for our event and the attendee engagement was amazing!

It encourages in-person attendees to engage more during the conference and allows virtual attendees access to the entire event. Socio was new for my association to use. We needed a platform for our virtual conference in 2021. Some of the things we loved about Socio were how user-friendly it is, how responsive the support team was, and the helpful how-to guides in the Socio library. The platform has a lot of features to help make a virtual event interactive & fun for attendees. The phone app is a nice addition, too. We received positive feedback from speakers, sponsors & attendees alike.

We used it for the second year to put together our large virtual conference. We wanted a professional platform that could help us in a completely new territory when we had to take what is normally an in-person conference over a weekend to a virtual setting in 2020. They did such a fantastic job that we signed with them again when we knew we needed to go virtual again in 2021. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process.

  • Discussion boards 100% need better functionality--things like being able to pin a post, put a picture in your comment, like comments, have notifications when someone has mentioned you or commented on your post.
  • More streamlined welcome area when people first log in. Being able to choose an easy welcoming page that automatically loads upon first login would be awesome.
  • Being able to hide linkable areas within the app--having menu items that can be linked into the booths while not being visible in the actual menu. Also being able to link attendees into different areas, such as the exhibitor booth and speaker profiles.
Socio is well suited for any capacity virtual event. They can do it all. We are going to start talking with them to see if we can incorporate them into our live events.
